We had a great turn out for the holiday/meeting.  Many members brought dishes to pass and lots of great cookies. 

Members brought in so many gifts for the Town of Tonawanda Toy Drive.  Thanks to Bob Goetz for taking them to the police station for distribution.

Mick spoke about money that is due for super bowl squares.  Any outstanding amounts can be brought into Mick on Sunday at Caputi’s  12:00 – 6:00

Nancy Hag purchased a card table for the club and will purchase 2 more.  She also scheduled pinochle tournaments on Jan. 29^th and Feb 19^th 1:00 at Caputi’s.  There will be a 44 person limit.

Pat confirmed Putt Putt tournament on Feb. 4^th at 7:00.   Cost will be $30.00 per person to include golf and dinner.   Contact Pat to sign up.  There will be a 50 person limit.

Nancy Haug has checked into several bars for the scavenger hunt and will have more information at the next meeting.

Meeting Minutes:

Minutes for C.H.A.T meeting November 17, 2011

20 people in attendance

·         This was the first meeting that was held on Thursday instead of Wednesday’s.  Pat asked if most would like to keep it on Thursday’s, it was agreed to keep this way for now.  Will be brought up again in the future to see if we would alternate monthly or yearly.

·         All commented on the Vegas trip saying it was “great” and would stay at the Golden Nugget again.  Mick requested any pictures taken to please email to Paul.

·         Charlie set up a Facebook account and asked everyone to go on and “like” it to have it become official and acquire a “url.”.  We need 25 people to make this happen.

·         We need ideas as to what fundraiser we could donate to for xmas since we no longer have Cameo’s.   Bill Mcgurn suggested Ronald McDonald House, Suzie suggested Hearts for the Homeless.  Pat said for all to gather info and we will talk about it at the next meeting.  We all agreed to an amount of $500.00 for the donation.  Mick stated we also would want to donate to the foundation as it is a yearly commitment.   Bill said we have approx.. $4600.00.  Pat suggested $100.00 - $200.00 should go to C.H.A.T.  This will be decided at a directors meeting in the future.

·         Xmas party will be held on Dec. 15^th .  Members are to bring a toy, unwrapped, for a small child.  The plan is to take pictures and have Bob Goetz take care of distributing them through the Police Dept.  (He doesn’t know this yet)  Also, bring in 1 doz. Cookies and a dish to be shared.

·         Pat suggested we become more aggressive with membership dues.  Every Oct. dues are required and he was inquiring about having a yearly membership.  This will be discussed at the directors meeting.  Ellen suggested keeping a log of all members and keeping track of payments.

·         Numbers drawing for superbowl squares will be on Jan. 22^nd.  Members are to bring a basket for auction.  Those who purchased a square are welcome to attend for free otherwise $10.00 per person.  Open bar and buffet are included.

·         Putt putt tourney. Will be Feb. 4^th.  Pat is limiting this to 50 people and will have more info at a later date.

·         Richard is looking to put together a poker tournament and will let us know when he has a place.  At least 50 people are needed.

·         Pat and Scott Matthews are arranging a scavenger hunt in several bars.  More info to follow.

·         The Taste of C.H.A.T. will tentatively be held on March 25^th.  Patty “G” Conner and Ellen Donavan will chair the event.  Pat is going to look into having the event advertised to create more attendance.

·         The new logo was presented.  This will be decided on at the directors meeting.  It was well received; many members liked the logo very much.

·         50/50 split--$75.00 to club.
