Community, Helping, Around, Town of Western New York Inc. has been organized for the objective
of generating funds to donate to local charitable organizations. By forming
this Social Club we hope to enhance the ability to organize and promote good will
in our community, by bringing together people from all
walks of life and from all areas of our community.

One of our biggest fundraisers of the year is the annual
Bus With Wings Raffle.
This past year, the CHAT Club raised over $3,000 ,
and that was the main source of our donation to
Camp Special Place.

Donations /benefits / dedications.

Late 2008 -  The CHATof WNY lost one of our founding members, Steve Hylkema.  In November 2008, the club along side some of Steve’s other friends and family got together at Byrncliff golf course and planted a tree in his honor on the second tee box.  Link To Video

For the Kids. Each year in our short five year history, the club has increased its support to Camp Special Place in Tonawanda.  The first year we donated the equivalent of one child’s tuition.  $280.  This past year we raised the amount to sponsor five kids for the entire summer program; over  $1200.  As the club and the foundation grow, so will the support for this wonderful program the Town offers.  (Pics?)

Town of Tonawanda Police Club Picnic.  Now that the Town has brought back Bob Goetz the club was standing in line to be a part of the festivities.  The club donated hundreds of dollars and assisted in ticket sales for this event.  We hope to be a part of this event every year, both financially and in any help we can provide.

Project Life Saver WNY.  projectlifesaverwny.org ”The only law enforcement based tracking program in the world created for those prone to wandering is now available in Western New York. Used by more than 1000 various law enforcement agencies throughout 45 states, the District of Colombia, Australia and Canada. This program has a 100% success rate (with an average search time of less than 30 minutes) and is responsible for over 2,000 rescues of children with developmental disabilities (autism, Down Syndrome, mental retardation, etc.) and elderly people with Alzheimer’s and related disorders.”

o                                                         The club donated $500 to help purchase tracking units.

Cameo’s Christmas.  For the past several years cameo’s has opened its doors on Christmas day to feed the less fortunate of WNY.  Several of our members have made it a tradition to help out cooking serving and even doing dishes that day.  CHATofWNY also made a donation of $500 to help purchase groceries and toys for the families being served so they had something to bring home.
